Proudly serving the Commonwealth
For Virginians, by Virginia.
The Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) is an independent state agency responsible for overseeing many business and economic interests in Virginia. The SCC is organized as an independent department of state government with delegated administrative, legislative, and judicial powers.
The Health Benefit Exchange, a division of the SCC, operates Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace with a mission to increase access to reliable health coverage for Virginians. Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace lets you shop for, compare, and purchase high-quality health insurance plans with comprehensive coverage.
Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace connects eligible Virginians who are not insured by their employer, Medicaid, or Medicare to health insurance options. The Marketplace is Virginia’s own state-based health insurance marketplace where consumers can shop for, compare, and purchase high-quality, comprehensive health insurance plans.
